Acetone

Uses

Acetone is mainly used as a solvent in many plastics and some synthetic fibers. It is used for thinning polyester resin. It is also consumed to synthesize methyl methacrylate. It is a solvent by the pharmaceutical industry and also a denaturant in denatured alcohol. It has uses in medical and cosmetic industry as well. A common use of acetone is acting as cleaning agents such as nail polish remover.
